That was sweet, Dorene! Shane and I love having a little girl. Hopefully, she and I will be as close as my mother and I are. I'm hoping in her I'll have a best friend for life!
I am sure you will be close. As they get older you have to learn the art of biting your tongue sometimes, agree/disagree it is their life, and hopefully because you raised them right, they made good decisions or at least learn from them.
