Are They Students or Are They Friends?

Recently, I attended the marriage blessing of my very first student's daughter.  Then a few weeks ago I got to go to a Reunion Tea of some of my students.  There were 6 couples in the class and 5 of the moms and babies (plus a few older siblings) attended.   We had a wonderful time and at one point all 5 of the women were sitting there breastfeeding their little ones (made my heart so proud).  Two of these women took my class before and returned a second (lucky me!).

Lately, I am reminded how blessed I am to have these families walk in my door for the last 23 years.  They come in as students, usually leave as friends, many of them lifelong.  I learn so much from each one of my classes.

Sometimes I wonder when my students walk in my door if they think I am too old to be doing this, but I guess not.

I just want to thank each and every one of my students for enriching my life.

It is a great way to get a baby fix!

I love you all.

And since you wondered...I'd just like to say that should you still be teaching your classes when the kid you helped us deliver 18 yrs ago naturally grows up and gets married and has kids of his own...I would recommend you to him. So, no...you aren't too old to be teaching :)

Of course you're not too old to be helping couples bring their babies into the world! It's a wonderful thing that you do, keep it up!!!
