Funny, I go through the same thing with Max & Lucia's pediatrician. I typically give him my best guess but I know the number is always way off. The truth is, I have no clue how often they nurse since they don't just do it when they're hungry. They nurse when they're tired, upset, bored, even when they're happy. * I cmented on this post yesterday but it didn't show up. Maybe I forgot to click "publish." :(
